Tasty carvery with good choice of meats. They do offer a vegetarian option too. Probably best to reserve a table if dining on a Sunday, as it does get very busy. That said, we hadn't booked and were seated within about 20 mins, so worth trying on spec too.
lovely food staff are always friendly, I eat here at least once a week and never had a bad experience, the refit has mad it fresh and up to date, the beef dripping roasts are amazing and the Lamb on a Sunday is divine, just make sure you are hungry if you order a wrap they are big! but taking half home is an option, great work Toby keep it up :-)
The roasted gamon was great! Truly recommended! But the BBQ chicken wings starter is to be avoided. The barbecue sauce is tasty but we had to wait for 20 minutes for it to be brought to our table and when it was finally brought to us the chicken definitely was not freshly made to order. Looks like it was kept to stay warm for a while and dried out. Not even to mention that there only was 4 small pieces of chicken.
It was very over crowded. There were 6 of us and was wedge in a 4 person booth. One person serving the whole of the pub. Had to wait half an hour after ordering drinks good job a hot drink wasn't ordered else it would of been cold. Food not all that either. Would not recommend
Ate here several times a week whilst our kitchen was out of action. We never tire of the food. It's really tasty, quick self-service carvery and cheap. Perfect.
